RIVERSIDE BROOKFIELD HIGH SCHOOL - A BRIEF HISTORY
Riverside-Brookfield High School, or RBHS, is a public four-year high school located in Riverside, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Riverside-Brookfield Township District 208.
Mission Statement
Riverside Brookfield High School is a partnership of parents, students, staff, Board of Education, elementary schools and community. This academic partnership will provide a comprehensive education in a safe, orderly, well-equipped environment. All students will be prepared with the intellectual, aesthetic, vocational, physical, personal and social skills necessary to be responsible and effective members of a diverse and changing world

History
Riverside-Brookfield first opened its doors in 1903.
Academics
In 2005, Riverside-Brookfield had an average composite ACT score of 22.4, and graduated 96.9% of its senior class. The average class size is 20.5. Riverside-Brookfield has made Adequate Yearly Progress on the Prairie State Achievement Examination, a state test part of the No Child Left Behind Act.[1]
The staff is comprised of 108 teachers, of which 76% hold an advanced degree.[2]
Riverside-Brookfield was ranked 11th out of 487 Illinois school districts in the School Search A+ Prairie State Achievement Examination.
In 2006, Newsweek ranked Riverside-Brookfield the 76th best high
school in the nation, and 6th out of 670 high schools in Illinois.
Athletics
Riverside-Brookfield competes in the Suburban Prairie Conference
and Illinois High School Association. Its mascot is the Bulldogs.
